Peace Patch Farm is Growing- New help needed

Agricultural Work-Study for Military Veteran

Learn sustainable agricultural skills while working part time to build a new garden.  Peace Patch Farm offers experience growing vegetables, flowers, and herbs, as well as tending chickens, rabbits and goats.

Food grown will be donated to a local food bank and soup kitchen.  Flowers grown will be sold to support Peace Patch Farm.   Working at Peace Patch Farm will give you practical skills and experience that you can use to grow food for yourself and your family, help you find a job on another farm, or start your own farm.

You will be provided with a part-time salary.  Peace Patch Farm will also cover class and conference fees through the year to add to your learning experience.
The program runs Jan. 20 – Oct. 31, 2014.

We are looking for a veteran interested in sustainable agriculture, learning, and serving your community.  Building skills and gardening experience are helpful but not required.
